What musical opportunities are there at St. Francis?
The Music Ministers at St. Francis provide strong leadership at our weekend celebrations as well as providing prayerful meditations for reflection. All liturgies are accompanied by piano. Music selections range from traditional hymns to contemporary pieces.
The CANTOR offers musical support and leadership at weekend liturgies.
The ADULT CHOIR provides leadership at the 11:00 Sunday and Holy Day liturgies. They rehearse weekly from September-June on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30.
The HANDBELL CHOIR enhances our Eucharistic celebration monthly. This group of dedicated volunteers rehearses weekly from September-June on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:30.
The YOUTH CHOIR provides musical leadership on a monthly basis at the 9:00 Sunday liturgy. These children, grades 1-8, meet weekly from November-May on Thursday afternoons from 5:00-5:45.
The ASSISI YOUTH MUSIC MINISTRY is a group which consists of middle and high school students who share their talents on instruments and through vocals. Open to all high school students and to middle school students with an interview. This group rehearses from 12-2:00 on the first and third Sunday of the month from October-May and provides monthly musical leadership at the 9:00 liturgy.
