    St Benedict's Neighborhood Center


    Volunteers needs to be high school age and older. The food pantry is looking for people to commit to a few times a year (to help save on the amount of training that needs to be done).

    Please drop off casseroles at St. Francis between 8am - 9am.

    Prepare a Sunday meal for Grassroots to serve individuals and families experiencing a personal, situational, mental health, or shelter crisis.

  • Living in Recovery - Sunday Sweets

    Every Sunday

    Living in Recovery - Sunday Sweets


    Provide a Sunday night dessert and packed lunches for the start of the work week for the 15 residents of the Living in Recovery group home as a show of support and encouragement for participants working to recover from addiction. Individual desserts can be cookies (2 per person) or brownies/cookie bars (1 per person) wrapped in plastic wrap or sealed in a plastic bag. Please no cakes, pies, or loaves of bread.

  • Needle Arts Ministry

    If you sew, knit, crochet,or anything else with a needle or hook, join us as we are serving God and others, one stitch at a time.


    We are making:

    • pillowcases for cancer victims, supporting the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne and Ryan’s Cases
    • scarves for active and overseas military, supporting Handmade with Love
    • items for Mary’s Home Maryland: babies, toddlers and adults

    Come meet with us on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM or the 4th Friday of the month at 10:00 AM.

  • LindaBen Foundation

    Lindaben foundation provides Child and Family Stability Services and Affordable Housing Support for local communities and our partnered school’s families-in-transition (Homeless and At-Risk). We provide ‘sustainable’ healthy access to food, wrap around services such as housing support and pathways towards self-sufficiency programs.

    Mary's Home provides a safe, pro-life home environment and holistic program of services for expectant mothers in crisis and their children in need.

  • Thanksgiving Food Drive

    Every fall, we collect thousands of pounds of food and deliver it to St. Benedict's Neighborhood Center in Baltimore. We provide enough food for hundreds of needy families to have an entire Thanksgiving meal!


    Announcements typically start in October.

  • Christmas Drive

    Every Advent season, we collect toys, clothing, gifts, and blankets for families in need. All items are delivered to St. Benedict's Neighborhood Center in Baltimore. Announcements typically start in late October/early November.

    Correctional facilities are looking to resume prison ministry programs and are in search of new volunteers. Training is provided.
