Child and Youth Protection Policy Requirements for Volunteers (VIRTUS)

All parishioners are encouraged to complete the VIRTUS process so that they are ready to volunteer when the need arises!

Volunteers 18 Years & Older

The Archdiocese of Baltimore requires that all volunteers who have substantial contact with minors complete VIRTUS Child Protection Training. All the information you will need to start the process is detailed here.

We must have this completed at least 2 weeks before you begin volunteering, so that we can process the screenings and references.  Please call (410) 792-0470 if you have any questions.

Volunteers Ages 14-17

The Archdiocese of Baltimore requires that all volunteers who have substantial contact with minors complete VIRTUS Child Protection Training and paperwork. You will need to visit the link below and complete the “Application for Volunteer Services” and return it to the parish office. Please note, parents MUST sign the second page of the form. Also, please be sure to include daytime phone numbers & e-mail addresses (if possible) for all references. References must be 18 & older. You will notice on the application that your signature acknowledges receipt of and agreement with the “Statement of Policy” and the “Code of Conduct.” These documents can also be found at the link below. If you would prefer a paper copy, please contact the parish office.
